Biomed Dispose-It Ltd. was formed in 2011 and is the sister company of MEDI-TRAN SERVICES LTD. which is a widely recognized, certified, insured and bonded mail forwarder and hazardous waste carrier that has been serving the delivery needs of the dental, health care and related communities since 1986.
HOW DO YOUR PRICES WORK?
Biomed Dispose-It prices include the containers, delivery, pickup & disposal - it's all inclusive.
When you purchase a Biomed Dispose-It product pack you know the price. Unlike other biomedical waste providers where the prices can fluctuate at any given time. All services are paid for in advance including disposal, so you will never be charged more regardless of how long it takes you to fill the containers.
Due to our pre-existing and very strong infrastructure within the Medical & Dental community, we can offer transparent & cost effective pricing, while ensuring you are meeting or exceeding provincial and government regulations with a licensed transport carrier (LT-1310).
HOW DO YOU PICKUP WASTE?
It's simple: fill all containers in the product pack, then call us at 604-872-3399 to schedule a pickup and our driver will come and take your waste away.
WHAT TYPE OF CONTAINERS DO YOU OFFER?
Biomed Dispose-It offers a great range of containers in various shapes, sizes and prices. Our containers come in different pack sizes and our clients choose their packs based on their needs.
DO WE NEED TO FILL OUT ANY PAPERWORK?
Yes, by law waste over 5kg must be on a Provincial Government Ministry of Environment Manifest and you will need to sign this document and a shipping document/declaration when waste is picked up to specifically identify your waste. These two documents are used to demonstrate the 'cradle to grave' process and the MOE manifest is required by law.
WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?
Our clients choose product pack(s) to suit their needs and pay an all inclusive price. The prices can be found online, in our brochures and in our catalogues.
We offer all inclusive prices which have remained the same or have gone down since 2011.
DO YOU CHARGE TAXES?
Yes, both GST and PST are applicable. Many sharps containers are only approved for single use and once full are not permitted by law to be reused. Therefore, because we do not retain ownership of the containers and they become the property of the client once they are purchased, PST is applicable. As disposal services are also provided, GST is applicable.
WHY WAS BIOMED DISPOSE-IT ESTABLISHED?
There was a building need from Medi Tran Services/ MTS Logistics' clients and a large demand requesting a more economical and reliable way for them to dispose of their waste. Common complaints were that the existing companies were not always properly licensed, may insist on lengthy contracts, provided expensive and convoluted pricing and numerous extra charges for which could never be understood or properly explained. This led to the establishment of Biomed Dispose-It in 2011, our answer to the consumers’ request for relief and solutions to these problems and finally giving them a licensed waste carrier they could ensure they could trust and were happy with. <

While Biomed-Dispose-It has been servicing the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Thompson Okanagan and Vancouver Island since 2011, MTS Logistics/Medi-Tran Services is a well established company that has been proudly serving the doctors’ and dentists’ in BC since 1986.
